Erica S. Healey has worked in the medical field for more than thirteen years, first in a variety of capacities at a highly-rated skilled nursing facility, and for the last six years as administrator for Empathy Care.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration with a concentration in geriatrics and long-term care from Lynn University in Boca Raton. She continued to pursue her education and was subsequently licensed as a nursing home administrator.
Prior to moving into health care, the Florida native worked as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines, where she learned the value of empathy — a skill further reinforced after the unexpected passing of her young mother.
“I will be in health care for the rest of my life, because I have a passion for long-term care and for what I do. I know I can make a difference every single day,” she said.
Erica S. Healey resides with her 5-year-old daughter in Palm Beach County. |
Tim has been a physical therapist for nineteen years. He graduated with honors from Florida International University in Miami with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1991.
Tim's career spans a variety of settings, but most of his clinical experience came from the acute care hospital and home health venues. He was previously a rehab clinical supervisor as well as area and regional director for a major home health company.
He enjoys managing the physical, occupational and speech therapists at Empathy Care, where he has worked for four years. He is dedicated to building the best possible team of therapists and setting a high standard for quality care. Tim has also been instrumental in developing specialty programs, including vestibular therapy, lymphedema therapy and low vision rehab.
Away from work, Tim enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is also an avid sports fan and fisherman. |

Beverly Parkis, a registered nurse for more than thirty years, has served as director of nursing at Empathy Care for the past eleven.
Her experience covers a wide range of nursing capacities, including that of an emergency room nurse for seventeen years, IV therapy director, operating room director, and flight nurse for critical care patients.
She was among the nurses called into play during the deadly Attica Prison riot of 1971. The standoff between inmates and authorities went on for four grueling days, but Beverly comes from a family in which nearly everyone worked in a medical capacity and she learned early on that nursing is a tough field — and one in which both miracles and tragedy seem to occur on almost a daily basis.
The New York native is a graduate of Plattsburg University, Genesee Community, and Osweago State Teachers College in upstate New York. She is also a certified case manager. |

It takes more than a few people to run a home health care agency that has remained deficiency-free for six years and achieved recognition as being among the top 25 percent of Medicare-certified agencies in the United States. This, then, is the team that makes it possible — the glue of the operation and those most responsible for ensuring we maintain our commitment to clients to be the best we can be every moment of every day. |
